Tata Electronics and Kelington Collaborate to Accelerate Operational Readiness of Dholera Fab

Tata Electronics has announced a collaboration with Kelington Group to enhance the operational readiness of its semiconductor fabrication plant (fab) located in Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR). This facility, which marks India's entry into large-scale semiconductor manufacturing, comes as a response to the growing demand for chips in various sectors, including automotive and consumer electronics. The partnership aims to streamline operations and ensure that the fabricating capabilities meet the standards necessary for efficient production. The Dholera semiconductor fab, touted as India's first commercial semiconductor manufacturing facility, is being developed under the auspices of Tata Electronics, a subsidiary of Tata Sons, which was established in December 2020 and is headquartered in Bengaluru. This pivotal project was initiated following a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between Tata Electronics and the Government of Gujarat, solidifying the support and cooperation of the state in making the fab operational.
