Shri Nitin Gadkari inspects the progress of Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway being developed at total cost of Rs 4200 crore

Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari recently inspected the ongoing construction of the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway, a significant infrastructure project being developed at an estimated total cost of Rs 4,200 crore. This expressway spans 109 kilometers and is designed as a four-lane, access-controlled greenfield road, constructed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The primary objective of this expressway is to establish a seamless connection between Ahmedabad and Dholera, thus facilitating better accessibility to the Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR), which is earmarked for extensive industrial and urban development. The proposed Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway is expected to significantly reduce travel time between Ahmedabad and Dholera, enhancing economic opportunities in the region. Current estimates indicate that the journey from Ahmedabad to Dholera will be considerably faster with the new infrastructure in place.
