Indo – Taiwan Industrial Park to be set up in Sanand-Dholera region; Gujarat govt inks MoU

A significant development in industrial collaboration between India and Taiwan has emerged as the Gujarat government has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish an Indo-Taiwan Industrial Park in the Sanand-Dholera region. This initiative aims to bolster manufacturing capabilities and enhance economic cooperation between the two nations. The location, strategically situated near Dholera SIR (Special Investment Region), is poised to benefit from the region's existing industrial and infrastructural advancements. The Dholera region is rapidly evolving into a prominent industrial hub, highlighted by several key initiatives, including the Dholera Solar Park, which is recognized as an ultra-mega renewable-energy project that caters to the increasing demand for sustainable energy sources. The area also hosts the GAP Industrial Park and Dholera Industrial Park Phase 1, which are already RERA-approved and designed to attract investments in various sectors. The establishment of the Indo-Taiwan Industrial Park is anticipated to further enhance Dholera's portfolio by attracting Taiwanese companies, particularly in electronics, machinery, and technology-based industries, thereby fostering a robust manufacturing ecosystem. This development is crucial for Dholera SIR as it aligns with the Indian government's Make in India initiative, which seeks to position the country as a global manufacturing powerhouse.
