Gujarat targets 7.5 GW under new AI data centre policy

The Gujarat government has unveiled an ambitious plan to establish a comprehensive framework for artificial intelligence (AI) data centres in the state, setting a target of 7.5 GW in data centre capacity. This initiative aligns with the growing demand for digital infrastructure and aims to position Gujarat as a key player in the AI and IT sectors. Relevant to this development is the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a 250 MW green AI-ready data centre at Dholera SIR. The ABCD Building, the Administrative cum Business Centre, serves as the operational hub for Dholera SIR, supporting various civic and digital initiatives, including the implementation of smart city technologies.
