Fujifilm signs MoU to explore semiconductor materials plant in Dholera

Fujifilm has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore the possibility of establishing a semiconductor materials plant in Dholera, Gujarat. This initiative aligns with ongoing efforts to develop a semiconductor ecosystem in the area, notably with the Dholera semiconductor fab being India's first commercial chip fabrication plant. The Dholera SIR region has also seen significant investment interest, including a recent Rs 25,000 crore MoU with L&T Vyoma for a 250MW data center. The exploration of this new semiconductor facility by Fujifilm is expected to further enhance Dholera's reputation as a key player in the semiconductor and technology sectors. This development is critical for Dholera as it seeks to attract additional investments and bolster local infrastructure.
