Fujifilm eyes semiconductor materials unit in Dholera, signs MoU with Gujarat

Fujifilm has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government to establish a semiconductor materials unit in Dholera. This development comes amid ongoing efforts to strengthen Dholera SIR as a key hub for technology and manufacturing, evident from recent MoUs for projects such as a 250 MW green AI-ready data center and a feasibility study for an AI data center by L&T Vyoma. Additionally, the Union Cabinet recently approved a ₹3,936 crore semiconductor project for a GaN-based Micro-LED unit in Dholera. Such initiatives are significant as they enhance Dholera's industrial landscape, attract foreign investment, and align with India's broader objective of becoming a global semiconductor manufacturing destination.
