Cabinet approves Indian Railways’ first semi high-speed project between Ahmedabad and Dholera

The Union Cabinet of India has given the green light for the country’s first semi high-speed rail project, connecting Ahmedabad and Dholera. This initiative is seen as a critical development in enhancing transportation infrastructure in the region, aimed primarily at facilitating economic growth and attracting investment. The project is estimated to cost ₹3,936 crore and aims to significantly reduce travel time between the two locations, fostering better connectivity and boosting the potential of Dholera as a burgeoning industrial hub.
