Cabinet approves Ahmedabad (Sarkhej)–Dholera Semi High-Speed Double Line project

The Union Cabinet has officially approved the Ahmedabad (Sarkhej)–Dholera Semi High-Speed Double Line project, a significant initiative aimed at enhancing connectivity between Ahmedabad and the Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR). The proposed semi-high-speed rail corridor will be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹20,667 crore and is expected to drastically reduce travel time between these key areas, thus contributing to the economic development of Dholera. The corridor is a crucial part of the Indian government's strategy to boost infrastructure in the region, with a focus on sustainability and modernization. The Ahmedabad-Dholera semi-high-speed rail project aligns with several ongoing developments in the area.
