Aviation Minister Naidu reviews Dholera Airport progress ; hails it as catalyst for India economic growth

Aviation Minister Naidu, accompanied by key officials and representatives, recently reviewed the progress of the Dholera International Airport project, emphasizing its national importance beyond just regional benefits for Gujarat and Ahmedabad. The project is designed to integrate an airport with a manufacturing hub and a semiconductor cluster, marking a first for India. Currently, about 80% of the construction is completed, including the finish of significant structures such as the runway and ATC tower. The airport aims to enhance connectivity with a cargo terminal and a substantial passenger terminal designed to handle two million passengers annually. The development is aligned with strategies to foster economic growth and attract global investments in advanced technologies and aerospace. The Minister outlined a timeline to accelerate the project's completion and operationalisation by this September or October.
